Ridgefield
The heart of Ridgefield, with its locally owned businesses, city hall, post office, school and neat neighborhoods all within walking distance of each other, is pure small-town Americana, largely unchanged by recent growth on the edges of town. The Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge and the Old Liberty Theater, with its live music, are popular. The big Ridgefield Fourth of July day-long celebration and the annual October BirdFest and Bluegrass festival draw thousands to town.
